This weekend we went on a field trip with USAC to Granada. We left Friday morning and the bus took 5 hours!! We got into our hotels around 2 and went on a walking tour of the city. Granada has much more history than Alicante, which is pretty modern. It is also much bigger. We had a view of the Alhambra (above) which was magnificent.
After the walking tour we had free time at night, so my friends and I went on a "tapas crawl." In Granada, when you order a drink, you get free Tapas. Some bars had good tapas, others were mediocre. But for every drink you get another tapa, which is genius. Haha.
My roommate Erika and I also did some shopping then just hung out in the hotel for a bit.

Saturday we went to the Alhambra, which is essentially a palace and fortress built by Muslim kings in the middle ages. Granada has a lot of Muslim influence, which makes it very interesting and unique.
The past week I also began volunteering at a school in a special-ed classroom. It was really interesting to see the differences between how it is in America, versus here (as it is with everything). The teacher is AMAZING and it was way more fun than I expected.
I would love to be able to put more pictures on here, but this site is far from user-friendly. It's actually terrible. So the best way to see pictures would probably be facebook, although ill keep trying on here. This post alone took me 50 minutes to get done.
