The University is really pretty. It is a decent size with lots of restaurants on campus. I have classes in a building with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the mountains and a big ferris wheel in the distance. I've also seen a lot of cute cats all over campus.
Apparently, everyone knew my classes would be in Spanish, except for me. But, thankfully I have two amazing professors who I can understand well. The workload is tough so far, but I'm excited to learn. Since I'm only taking Spanish classes, I'm thankful to be able to focus my time and effort on learning and mastering this one subject.
I have class Monday through Thursday, meaning today was my day off. Lucky me, because it is the nicest day we've had so far. I had yet to see the beach, so after homemade tapas, my friend and I took a walk down.
I also forgot to mention that my apartment is on the fourth floor of my building, with no elevator. We walk up eight flights of stairs at least four times a day. But again...so worth it; my landlord is great. He knocked on our door yesterday to see if anyone needed help with their homework!
We are going to a friends house tonight for dinner and then to an open mic night which should be fun.
I still can't believe I live here. I don't think I'll get used to it. Every day I wake up and can't believe where I am. It's stunning and I feel so fortunate! Thanks mom and dad ;)
